Frustrated.

Disclaimer: This is my experience. Others may experience something better. So, don't judge the vaccination place solely by my rant here. Thanks!

I need to vent my frustration somewhere. I don't want to do it on any social media platforms as people are judgemental and they'll have their own opinions. I'm not in the mood to be critized by strangers nor friends. I'm just frustrated and angry towards the vaccination centre at IDCC Shah Alam.

First, they won't allow my mother and I to walk to the elevator after we parked outside of the IDCC building. We stopped at the first Rela dude and he gave the green light. He said we could walk to the lift that was located quite far from where we were. We didn't mind. Seriously we were okay. Once we arrived at the second stop, it was for OKU people. Okay, no problem. Then the third Rela dudes stopped us and told us to drive up instead. We tried to negotiate but they were persistant: take your car and park at level 4 to 6. Take the lift to level 7 for vaccination.

Fuck.

So we parked at level 4. Turn off the engined and we walked to the nearby entrance where a number of Rela dudes were on duty. After we scanned, we were ready to enter the premise. However we were stopped yet again. One of them said only one could go. What the frick man?! I needed to accompany my mom. She was afraid of needles and she needed the moral support, especially from a family member. Yeah, sure there were many volunteers up there to assist her. BUT THEY ARE NOT ME. Damn it.

Okay my brother pointed out that it was their Standard of Procedure. Maybe it was and I'm not denying that.

But, let's consider these 'what if's:

What if a person has a phobia of heights and unable to drive up to the parking space?

What if a person has a gruesome history with parking at a high place or underground level and s/he would rather park outside and walk instead despite the distance?

What if a person needs a family member support due to anxiety and depression?

What if a person is afraid of needles and needs someone to hold to? (Preferably a family member. Would YOU want to hold a stranger's hands? WTF).

I have went to Setia City Convention Centre Shah Alam and they are the best. Lucky for anyone who gets their vaccination there. Very satisfied with their hospitality.

IDCC sucks.
